Dale View B&B is located on the outskirts of the beautiful and peaceful Holmrook and Drigg Villages, on the edge of the Lake District National Park along the magnificent Cumbrian West Coast.

Offering 3 lovely rooms: 2 double en-suite and 1 twin with separate private bathroom and loo.

Holmrook with the beautiful River Irt running through it and Drigg with miles of lovely beaches and sand dunes; the dunes and beach both being sites of Special Scientific Interest and nature reserve, are very close by.

There are many walks to be had, lots of cycle routes and the most stunning scenery.

Amazing Breakfast

Included in the room rate; Full English breakfast and Continental Breakfast offered daily. Breakfast room is available to use in the evenings.

Dale View was built in 1876 and stands at the top of a hill in Holmrook, with stunning views over the surrounding countryside, dunes at Drigg and Black Combe Fell, over near Ravenglass.

About Us

At Dale View B&B, I provide 3 lovely, non-smoking, pet-free guest bedrooms. Two double en-suites and one Twin with separate private bathroom and loo. Access to the the bathroom and loo is down 2 steps to a landing. Both the en-suite rooms have beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and the twin has views over the garden.

I provide binoculars, towels, Freeview television, USB charging ports, free WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, bed lap-table, hairdryer, fan and toiletries. Prayer mats are also provided for guests to use.

All of the guest bedrooms are on the 1st floor, accessed by a wide, curving flight of stairs. Please be aware of this when booking, there is no lift available.

A pretty, private, upward sloping garden at the rear of the property offers views over the surrounding countryside and peaceful seating areas are provided for enjoying the vistas. The garden is accessed by a short flight of narrow steps. Please be aware of this when booking. Access to the rear garden is by request.

At the front of the property is a pretty arbour where guests can sit and enjoy the views of Black Combe Fell.

A full English breakfast and Continental breakfast are offered daily in the comfortable breakfast room, using locally sourced produced, when available. (The eggs from Dale View’s own chickens). Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten and Dairy free options available with prior notification.

The bright and airy breakfast room is also available in the evenings for guests wishing to bring in takeaway food or just wanting to relax in a cosy environment. There are reading materials and a selection of games for guests use.

Dale View has off road parking for 3 cars available at the property and a secure area for bicycles.

Sorry, but children under 13 and dogs are not catered for.

Locally, there are lovely pubs, offering great value, delicious food in the evenings. There are lots of other, very good, eating establishments a little further afield in Seascale, Gosforth and Ravenglass area

Since being taken on in July ’21 by your host, Jo, and her cat, the house has undergone extensive renovation, resulting in the beautiful home you see today. The b&b opened in May'22.
